When you open pressure control valve 4 (n218), short to plus It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, short-circuit after mass or change pressure control valve 1 (n215), open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
14690 Possible Causes:
14690 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 14690 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
