14661 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'i' primary control, short to plus retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to b+ and wait then starter interlock, circuit short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
14661 Possible Causes:
14661 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 14661 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen sensor b1 s1: heating circuit regulation at upper limit, upper limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
