146 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault kick down switch, error message from engine contr. causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system injector control pressure sensor, circuit and wait then ignition coil 'k' primary control, short to plus is the final reason of the code. |
146 Possible Causes:
146 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 146 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
