14553 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing kick down switch, error message from engine contr. mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold runner control (imrc), signal outside tolerance and exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
14553 Possible Causes:
14553 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 14553 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'i' primary control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
