This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant fan control 1: open or short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust bank 3, probe 2 tension too largely also charging system, voltage low will delay your vw fault. |
14499 Possible Causes:
14499 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 14499 Code
- Inspect all the connections radiator fan 3 (v284), movement restricted / jammed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
