14498 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), open / short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed transmission fluid temperature, exceeded multiple times you can see the pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
14498 Possible Causes:
14498 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 14498 Code
- Inspect all the connections angle sensors 1 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g297), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
