This code were stamped on VW Engine case cylinder 9 injector, data incompatible retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit low or change valve for pump - jet: cylinder 10 (n306), regulation range exceeded is the final reason of the code. |
14496 Possible Causes:
14496 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 14496 Code
- Inspect all the connections angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
