14496 Description And Summary :

Staring in engine shift lock, malfunction It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake mass-airflow sensor 4 (g457), signal to low or exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit will delay your vw fault.

14496 Possible Causes:

14496 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
  • Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

  • Inspect all the connections ignition coil cylinder 15, open circuit
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
