This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3, probe 1 signal too slowly retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, signal shorted to heater circuit and throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit will delay your vw fault. |
14494 Possible Causes:
14494 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14494 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
