Accumulated in electronic control units so relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust bank 4 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded or change exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, electrical error is the final reason of the code. |
14490 Possible Causes:
14490 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 14490 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 electrical error in the electric circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
