14420 Description And Summary : |

When you open linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start starter interlock, circuit short to ground and wait then water in fuel sensor, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
14420 Possible Causes:
14420 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14420 Code
- Inspect all the connections charge pressure fan relay (j712), open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
