This something to do with the intake camshaft timing data bus powertrain, malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles combustion detection during deceleration and wait then valve for pump - jet, cylinder 4 (n243), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
14311 Possible Causes:
14311 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 14311 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
