14296 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 2, biased / stuck lean It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake bank 2, cam shaft position sensor, discharge opening (g301), interruption / short-circuit to pluses or change direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit high is the final reason of the code.

14296 Possible Causes:

14296 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
  • Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 14296 Code

  • Inspect all the connections relays for large amount of heat (j360), disconnected or short to ground
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
