14290 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing please check dtc memory of airbag ecu retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel shutoff valve "b" control, circuit high and fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
14290 Possible Causes:
14290 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 14290 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 15 (n392), circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
