The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault catalyst system exhaust bank 3, effectiveness too low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake reversing light, circuit short to b+ . So for next internal control module, driver error will delay your vw fault. |
14285 Possible Causes:
14285 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 14285 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, open or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
