This something to do with the intake camshaft timing hydraulic pressure sensor 2 too low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit short to ground and intake manifold runner control, regulation deviation is the final reason of the code. |
14278 Possible Causes:
14278 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14278 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed sensor 'a' / 'b', correlation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
