Staring in engine ignition coil 'k' primary control, short to plus mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor ng high pressure valve (n372), short to b+ or pressure control valve 1 (n215), open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
14257 Possible Causes:
14257 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 14257 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine oil temperature sensor (g8), circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
