The problem is about starter interlock, circuit short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic or change engine temperature too low is the final reason of the code. |
14242 Possible Causes:
14242 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14242 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
