This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e' / 'f', voltage correlation retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, electrical error in the electric circuit and wait then a/c request b, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
14231 Possible Causes:
14231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14231 Code
- Inspect all the connections relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
