14228 Possible Causes:
14228 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 14228 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
