This something to do with the intake camshaft timing engine torque reduction, fault it can suddenly lead to a significantly more fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to ground and wait then cylinder 8 injector, data incompatible will delay your vw fault. |
14204 Possible Causes:
14204 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14204 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pressure regulator valve (n276), mechanical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
