142 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault air cleaner inlet control, circuit / open run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed shift lock, short to ground or change solenoid ev 7 (n94), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
142 Possible Causes:
142 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 142 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 2, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
