14197 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit intermittent / erratic causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit interruption or engine torque reduction, open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
14197 Possible Causes:
14197 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14197 Code
- Inspect all the connections camshaft position signal output, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
