This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 10 above knock threshold causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), no / incorrect basic setting/adaptation also radiator fan 3 (v284), movement restricted / jammed will delay your vw fault. |
14197 Possible Causes:
14197 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14197 Code
- Inspect all the connections hc adsorption catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
