14197 Description And Summary :

The problem is about fuel rail sensor (g401), short to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, circuit / open and wait then exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, tension too small will delay your vw fault.

14197 Possible Causes:

14197 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
  • Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 14197 Code

  • Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'g' primary control, short to plus
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
