This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission control unit relay, malfunction mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor relays for pump load air cooling (j536), interruption / short-circuit after mass or change fuel pump "a", low flow / performance will delay your vw fault. |
14189 Possible Causes:
14189 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14189 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
