14178 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing data bus powertrain, missing message from instruments panel ecu to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit intermittent or linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
14178 Possible Causes:
14178 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 14178 Code
- Inspect all the connections air flow restriction / air leak between air filter and maf
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
