The problem is about exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 4, out of range retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 2 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached and pressure control solenoid 1 (n215), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
14177 Possible Causes:
14177 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 14177 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold tuning valve (bank 1), stuck open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
