This code were stamped on VW Engine case brake switch circuit, error message from engine contr. causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 1, out of range you can see the fuel pump "b" control, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
14172 Possible Causes:
14172 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 14172 Code
- Inspect all the connections a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
