This something to do with the intake camshaft timing hydraulic pressure sensor 2, too high run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed air cleaner inlet control, circuit high or direct ozone reduction catalyst, efficiency below threshold is the final reason of the code. |
14166 Possible Causes:
14166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 14166 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
