The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault pressure control valve 4 (n218), short to plus retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit low or change clutch torque, adaptation at limit is the final reason of the code. |
14165 Possible Causes:
14165 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 14165 Code
- Inspect all the connections tiptronic switch up, circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
