The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck rich mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake air heater "a", circuit low or change mass-airflow sensor 4 (g457), signal to low is the final reason of the code. |
14164 Possible Causes:
14164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 14164 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
