14097 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'a rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system cylinder 12 above knock threshold or change cam shaft position sensor (g40), signal outside of the tolerance will delay your vw fault.

14097 Possible Causes:

14097 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
  • Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 14097 Code

  • Inspect all the connections throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit low
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
