14042 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'l' primary control, short to plus to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), power supply malfunction you can see the activation 2-unit injector valve, electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
14042 Possible Causes:
14042 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 14042 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
