14038 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, electrical error mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, voltage too low or engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit intermittent / erratic will delay your vw fault.

14038 Possible Causes:

14038 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
  • Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off

What To Check After Fixing 14038 Code

  • Inspect all the connections reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 1, circuit low
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
