This something to do with the intake camshaft timing vehicle speed sensor 'b', range / performance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit range / performance also 'a' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
140 Possible Causes:
140 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 140 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
