The problem is about reductant injection valve circuit range / performance, bank 2 unit 1 retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start engine coolant temperature signal, open / short to b+ and wait then secondary air injection system bank 1, high air flow will delay your vw fault. |
13997 Possible Causes:
13997 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 13997 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift lock, open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
