13996 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine planetary overdrive / low range, mechanical malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, performance or stuck off also water in fuel sensor, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
13996 Possible Causes:
13996 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 13996 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
