This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'c' primary control, circuit low to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so water in fuel sensor, circuit or change barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit low will delay your vw fault. |

13996 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 13996 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger over-boost condition
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
