Staring in engine glow plug indictor light (k29), malfunction message from instrument cluster mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), short to b+ you can see the coolant fan control 1: open or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
13986 Possible Causes:
13986 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 13986 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of airbag ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
