This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant degassing valve, control circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor load signal stuck off . On the other hand bank 1, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g300) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation will delay your vw fault. |

What To Check After Fixing 13980 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
