Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit intermittent to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, short to b+ and oxygen sensor b1 s1: heating circuit regulation at upper limit, lower limit exceeded is the final reason of the code. |

13978 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 13978 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
