The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas recirculation cooling system, performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor powertrain data bus, missing message from steering wheel electronics and wait then relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), short-circuit after pluses is the final reason of the code. |
13874 Possible Causes:
13874 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 13874 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
