The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic bank retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start reversing light, circuit short to b+ and wait then shift lock, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
13872 Possible Causes:
13872 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 13872 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel level sensor 2, circuit low voltage
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
