Accumulated in electronic control units so exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 4, out of range it can suddenly lead to a significantly more manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at higher load or exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
13821 Possible Causes:
13821 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 13821 Code
- Inspect all the connections tiptronic switch recognition (f189), open circuit / signal to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
