13741 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault friction too high, intake cam adjustment bank 2 retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start radiator fan (v7), difficulty of movement / blocked or internal control module, driver error is the final reason of the code.

13741 Possible Causes:

13741 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
  • Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
  • Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
  • Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

What To Check After Fixing 13741 Code

  • Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), short to b+
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
