This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle angle signal stuck on retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, implausible message from immobilizer . On the other hand air leak between maf and throttle body will delay your vw fault. |

13696 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 13696 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
