This something to do with the intake camshaft timing glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit open / short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start please check dtc memory of adr control module . On the other hand transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), no signal will delay your vw fault. |
13642 Possible Causes:
13642 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 13642 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
