The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic or hydraulic actuator valve (n331), electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
13586 Possible Causes:
13586 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 13586 Code
- Inspect all the connections outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
