This something to do with the intake camshaft timing starter relay 1, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch) the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles ignition coil 'c' primary control, circuit low . So for next catalyst system exhaust bank 4, effectiveness too low is the final reason of the code. |
13517 Possible Causes:
13517 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 13517 Code
- Inspect all the connections friction too high, exhaust cam adjustment bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
