13496 Description And Summary :

Accumulated in electronic control units so turbocharger (tc)control module 2, faulty causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system power supply voltage terminal 15, open circuit or change oxygen sensor b1 s1: heating circuit regulation at upper limit, lower limit exceeded will delay your vw fault.

13496 Possible Causes:

13496 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High

What To Check After Fixing 13496 Code

  • Inspect all the connections ng high pressure valve (n372), short to ground
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
