The problem is about 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake different wheel speed signals, range / performance you can see the relays for small amount of heat (j359), short-circuit after pluses is the final reason of the code. |
13490 Possible Causes:
13490 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 13490 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed sensor 'b', range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
