Staring in engine o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 1 sensor 1 retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start please check dtc memory of engine ecu and wait then nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
13438 Possible Causes:
13438 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 13438 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 2 sensor 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
