This something to do with the intake camshaft timing vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit intermittent the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust pressure sensor or change intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
13285 Possible Causes:
13285 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 13285 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
